BIOGRAPHY
Kirsten Flipkens is a right-handed tennis player who turned professional in 2003. She immediately made a name for herself by winning the ITF tournaments of Pétange, Koksijde, Naples and Innsbruck. She quickly built up a nice track record and entered the top 100 of the WTA singles ranking in 2009. To date, she has won 2 WTA and 13 ITF tournaments and even reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon in 2013. During this year, she achieved her highest ranking: 13th.

Flipkens is also very active in doubles. In this discipline she already won 5 WTA tournaments and 2 ITF titles. In 2019 she managed to make it to the semi-finals of Roland Garros in women’s doubles.
With the Belgian national team, she played the 2006 Fed Cup final on home soil.
