BIOGRAPHY

Benoît Paturel, born on December 1, 1994, in Lyon, France, is a professional motocross rider competing in the MXGP class. He began his MX2 World Championship career in 2012, participating in two races and scoring his first world championship points. Overcoming injuries in subsequent seasons, Paturel completed his first full MX2 season in 2015, finishing 9th overall. In 2016, he secured three podium finishes, culminating in 3rd place in the championship standings. The following year, he achieved his first MX2 Grand Prix victory in Switzerland.

Transitioning to the MXGP class in 2018, Paturel faced challenges with injuries and team changes, which affected his performance. Despite these setbacks, he consistently finished within the top 15 in various races. In 2023, riding for the De Baets Yamaha MX Team, he delivered a strong performance, securing 12th place in the overall MXGP standings with 277 points.

Paturel's career is marked by resilience and determination, as he continues to compete at the highest levels of motocross.
