A healthy intestinal flora is extremely important for everyone. The main ingredient of our three Gut Support formulas is a HMO (human milk oligosaccharide). HMO’s are very specific indigestible carbohydrates (prebiotics) that support intestinal health and have nutrigenomic effects.
This type of prebiotics can boost the growth of probiotics (beneficial bacteria) in the gut, because they feed bifidobacteria, one of the most important probiotics. Bifidobacteria and other probiotics dominate the gut microbiome to prevent colonisation by potential pathogens.
Beside that there are common genetic variants , which can lead to an increased need of HMO's for a healthy intestinal flora.

Our Gut support is available in 3 different versions depending on your genetic make-up and your current intestinal flora. These versions have different colours for specific reasons:
Gut Support 1 is black due to the addition of activated charcoal. This version is developed for people with slower bowel movements.
Gut Support 2 is also black due to the addition of the Potentilla erecta (Tormentil): The extract we use is made from the root tincture and this has a deep red - almost black - colour. In combination with the other ingredients the mixture has an almost identical colour to Gut Support 1 but the source of the colour is totally different. This version is developed for people with faster bowel movements.
Gut Support 3 is white. This version is developed for everyone who wants the positive health benefits of HMO's.

Is this product vegan?
Yes, it is.
Why is my gut support powder black?
In order to create a balanced stool and good gut motility, our Gut Support 1 contains a little bit of activated charcoal. This makes the whole powder black. The small amount of activated charcoal is perfectly safe to consume.

So if your powder is black, that’s completely normal.
Is it normal that I am flatulent the first days after taking the Gut Support?
Yeah, that’s completely normal. By reshaping your gut microbiome, temporal flatulence is possible. We recommend that you start with half a scoop at breakfast every day to see how your body reacts to the supplement. If you’re not experiencing any problems*, you can increase the dosage to the recommended dose of 2 scoops after a few days.

I am using the Gut Support 2 for a couple of months now and I have a very good experience with it. I have IBD and I am lactose intolerant, even with a treatment and my disease being under control, my bowels were always sensitive. Since I use Gut Support, I feel like my bowels calmed down and developed very much appreciated more regular habits. I can now easily go for a run without worrying that I will have a problem during the run. I personally like the taste, the fast bowels movement version is a bit sweet. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone, especially those with sensitive bowels.
