In 2017, three professional athletes came together with a shared mission: to redefine sports nutrition.

Among them were Axel Roelants, a former motocross athlete, and Mathieu van der Poel, one of the most accomplished cyclists of his generation. Having spent their lives competing at the highest levels of sport, the founders understood firsthand the demands that training, competition, and recovery place on the body. They shared a belief that athletes deserved better, supplements built on science, quality, and real performance needs rather than marketing trends.

Driven by this vision, they founded 4GOLD: a sports nutrition brand created by athletes, for athletes. From day one, the goal was clear: to develop products with premium ingredients, innovative formulations, and a relentless focus on helping athletes perform at their best.

As the company grew, the founders were intentional about building the right team. Rather than hiring solely based on experience, they sought out people who lived and breathed sport. Cyclists, runners, weightlifters, and endurance athletes became part of the company, bringing with them the mindset, discipline, and passion that define great athletes. This created a culture where everyone, from product development and marketing to customer support and operations, understood the needs of athletes because they were athletes themselves.

At the same time, 4GOLD built a network of ambassadors who shared the brand's values and commitment to excellence. Together, employees and ambassadors formed a community united by a common purpose: helping athletes achieve their goals through better nutrition, smarter recovery, and consistent performance.

Today, 4GOLD remains true to the principles on which it was founded. Every product, every innovation, and every decision is guided by people who understand sport from the inside. What started as a vision shared by three athletes has grown into a team of passionate sports-minded individuals dedicated to raising the standard of sports nutrition for athletes around the world.
