Kim Meylemans

BIOGRAPHY

Kim Meylemans, born on March 7, 1996, in Amberg, Germany, is a Belgian skeleton racer who began her career after being introduced to the sport during her time in Königssee, Germany. Initially a soccer player, a talent scout suggested she try skeleton, leading to her swift transition into the sport.

Representing Belgium, Meylemans competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics, finishing 14th. She continued to strive for Olympic success, participating in the 2022 Beijing Games.

In the 2023–24 Skeleton World Cup season, Meylemans achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Belgian to win a European Championship in skeleton. She also secured a silver medal at the 2024 World Championships in Winterberg, Germany, marking Belgium's first world championship medal in the sport.

Throughout her career, Meylemans has been dedicated to inspiring young athletes to pursue their passions, aiming to serve as a role model in the world of winter sports.
