Jens Schuermans

BIOGRAPHY

Jens Schuermans, born on February 13, 1993, in Genk, Belgium, is a professional mountain bike racer. He started cycling after a football injury and quickly excelled, winning national and European titles as a junior. In the U23 category, he secured multiple World Cup podiums, a European Championship bronze, and a top-six finish at the World Championships, turning pro in 2016.

As an elite rider, Schuermans has won six Belgian national cross-country titles (2017-2022) and secured podiums in international events. He represented Belgium at the 2016, 2020, and 2024 Olympics and finished 4th overall in the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup XCC standings. His consistency and dedication continue to establish him among the top mountain bikers.
