A healthy intestinal flora is extremely important for everyone. The main ingredient of our three Gut Support formulas is 2 grams of 2-FL. 2-FL is a HMO (human milk oligosaccharide). HMO’s are very specific indigestible carbohydrates (prebiotics) that support intestinal health and have nutrigenomic effects.This type of prebiotics can boost the growth of probiotics (beneficial bacteria) in the gut, because they feed bifidobacteria, one of the most important probiotics. Bifidobacteria and other probiotics dominate the gut microbiome to prevent colonisation by potential pathogens.
Beside that there are common genetic variants, which can lead to an increased need of HMO's for a healthy intestinal flora.
Our Gut support is available in 3 different versions depending on your genetic make-up and your current intestinal flora.These versions have different colours for specific reasons:
Gut Support 1 is black due to the addition of activated charcoal. This version is developed for people with slower bowel movements.
Gut Support 2 is also black due to the addition of the Potentilla erecta (Tormentil): The extract we use is made from the root tincture and this has a deep red - almost black - colour. In combination with the other ingredients the mixture has an almost identical colour to Gut Support 1 but the source of the colour is totally different. This version is developed for people with faster bowel movements.
Gut Support 3 is white. This version is developed for everyone who wants the positive health benefits of HMO's.
We recommend you to start with half a scoop at breakfast every day to see how your body reacts. If you’re not experiencing any problems*, you can increase the dosage to the recommended dose of 2 scoops after a few days. We recommend using a shaker to prevent lumps.
