Mathieu van der Poel

Mathieu van der Poel, born on January 19, 1995, in Kapellen, Belgium, is a Dutch professional cyclist known for his dominance across multiple disciplines, including cyclo-cross, road racing, mountain biking, and gravel racing. Turning professional in 2014, he made history a year later by becoming the youngest-ever elite Cyclo-cross World Champion. Since then, he has amassed seven world titles, six Dutch championships, and three European championships in cyclo-cross, solidifying his legacy in the sport.

Beyond cyclo-cross, Van der Poel has also excelled in mountain biking, securing three World Cup race victories, the 2019 European Championship, and the 2018 Dutch Championship. His road racing career is equally impressive, with monument victories in Milan-San Remo (2023), Tour of Flanders (2020, 2022, 2024), and Paris-Roubaix (2023, 2024).
