Alberto is a former professional cyclist who ranks among the very best Grand Tour riders of this century. With two Tour de France titles, two Giro d’Italia victories and three Vuelta a España GC wins, he has a track record for which a lot of riders envy him.
After winning just about everything there is to win for riders of his stature, he decided to retire in 2017 on a high after a sensational victory in the Vuelta a Espana with the finish at the top of the mythical Angliru.
